About

My Approach
I believe that clarity and confidence make all the difference in college planning. Rather than a one-size-fits-all model, I meet students where they are – listening deeply, uncovering priorities, and building tailored roadmaps that make each student’s college journey less stressful and more meaningful. I encourage students to move beyond rankings and reputation to consider what environments will best nurture their growth.
I bring firsthand insight into what admissions committees look for, helping demystify how decisions are made and what factors matter most to colleges. My experience helps me to advise a wide range of students, from academically ambitious applicants to those navigating unique personal or educational circumstances. This perspective allows me to blend practical application strategy with meaningful self-discovery for each student.
My Experience
My journey, from a NY public city school to attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, gave me firsthand insight into how exciting, confusing, and challenging the college search process can be. After graduating with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry, I spent more than a decade in scientific corporate sales, working extensively on college campuses. I valued building connections with scientists, educators, and medical professionals, but over time, I found myself seeking work with a more personal and direct impact.
That shift led me to University of California, Berkeley, where I earned a certificate in College Admissions Counseling. There, I discovered the meaningful connection I had been looking for. Working with teenagers during such a pivotal and exciting stage of their lives has been incredibly rewarding. Guiding students through self-reflection and helping them create a clear, less stressful path to college is both a privilege and a joy.
As an associate member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association, and a member of the Higher Education Consultants Association and the Western Association for College Admission Counseling, I value ongoing collaboration with dedicated professionals in the field. I also enjoy volunteering as a college coach for a nonprofit organization that supports first-generation, low-income students in accessing and completing college.
